It is sad to see Dileep, a versatile and talented actor, waste his skills on a film like Georgettan's Pooram. The movie struggles to put up a show that is worth sitting through for almost three hours. The non existent plot spans almost 80% of the movie, featuring an unnecessary fight scene, an unnecessary heroine (who by the way has three lines in this movie), two unnecessary songs and dialogues that are meant to be funny but are a sad reminder of Dileep's heydays. Only two hours have passed since I exited the movie hall and still I am struggling to remember what happened in the first two hours of the movie.
A series of irrelevant events leads to a kabaddi match in the climax, where the winner gets to keep a local ground to which Dileep and his friends are emotionally attached, while the villain played by Chemban Vinod has a legal claim on it. Of course Dileep wins the match and keeps the ground while Chemban Vinod gets arrested for a murder. Facepalm.
There isn't much to write about this movie, except that there is nothing in it that is worth watching. It is high time that Dileep started choosing his scripts wisely.
